Jam Sessions
The music - what it's all about!
Shindigs, jam sessions - whatever you like to call them - are gatherings of banjo, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, resonator guitar and bass pickers. The musicians come to the AFBA jams from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and from all over the east to play with old friends and make new ones. While most play bluegrass music, some play the old-time style. But there is room for all types of acoustic string music at the sessions.
Players of all skill levels are welcome.
Most jamming takes place in the various rooms of the Beethoven Waldheim Club and in the main listening room there is always an appreciative audience on hand to enjoy the music of the featured bands on stage.
Good food and soft drinks are available.
Indoor shindigs are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month, from October through April, at the Beethoven Waldheim Club, Hellertown, PA.
Doors open at 10 AM. The day ends around 6 PM.
Stage shows featuring regional bands start at 12:30 PM.
